Vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza (Flu) is the best way to fight serious illness and complications associated with infection. Immune protection decreases over time, and a vaccine booster dose may be needed to keep you, your family, and your community healthy.

Current Guidelines:

Flu:

All individuals aged 6 months and over should have a yearly flu vaccine. Those over 65 may want to consider a high-dose flu vaccine.

COVID:

See the CDC Guidelines for information about which COVID vaccines and boosters you and your family should have.

Please note that an updated COVID vaccine, targeted at the XBB.1.5 strain, has been approved and should be available sometime this fall. At this time previous versions of the COVID vaccine are not recommended.

 Public Vaccine Clinics:

The Berkshire Public Health Alliance, the Pittsfield Health Department and the Southern Berkshire Public Health Collaborative will be offering vaccination clinics starting in mid-September in municipalities across the county. These clinics are offered at no charge to you (insurance information is collected to help with the cost of the clinics) and are open to anyone ages 6 months and older, regardless of your municipality of residence. Please pre-register for your vaccination(s). There is no guarantee that vaccine will be available for you if you do not pre-register, and your visit will take much longer as you will need to be registered on-site.

The calendar below shows all currently scheduled public vaccine clinics in Berkshire County. You can also see a schedule of clinics and pre-register here.

If you have additional questions about where you can get vaccinated or which vaccines are right for you, or if you are homebound or need assistance with clinic registration or transportation, you may contact your local public health nurse using this form. Please note that it may take 2-3 business days for someone to contact you.
